Mention Snowdonia and people think of mountain climbing, stunning scenery, beautiful beaches, historic castles and narrow gauge railways. There also a number of family oriented attractions and most provide an undercover option on a wet day.

See one of the world's largest waterwheels and find out more about the history of slate quarrying. The museum is in Llanberis near to the Snowdon Railway and Padarn Country Park. Like all National Museums in Wales admission is free.

This adventure park, midway between Bangor and Caernarfon, offers lots of energetic activity for younger visitors. Attractions include TreeTop Towers, Crocodile Maze, Great Green Run, Jungle Boat Adventure, and Den Building. Admission, which gives unlimited use of the attractions, costs up to £9 adults and £8.25 children (depending on season).
The park is mid way between Bangor and Caernarfon, just off the B4366 Bethel road - look for the brown tourist signs.

The largest indoor adventure play area in North Wales, where kids love giant drop slides, ball pools, tubes, bridges, maze, climbing walls, net and ropes or the driving school, while adults dine in the fully licensed restaurant or enjoy the sunshine on the patio . Adults are welcome to join in most of the activities but for those wishing to maintain their dignity in front of their children the centre is available to hire in the evenings for adults only parties of 20 or more.
The centre is on the A487 by the main roundabout just outside Caernarfon town centre. A useful landmark is the nearby big church.

Enjoy Go Karting, Ten Pin Bowling, Quad Trekking, Archery or Fishing at this centre four miles out of Pwllheli. Go karts run on two tracks seniors (14 and over) and junior (8 to 13), but younger visitors (over 3) and disabled guests can share a double kart with a responsible adult. Admission to the grounds is free of charge
Glasfryn Parc is 4 miles east of Pwllheli and 15 miles from Caernarfon on the A499 Caernarfon Road.

Discover more about King Arthur, and Welsh Legends, on an underground boat trip through a maze of tunnels and caverns. The Labyrinth is at the Corris Craft Centre which is also home to the Bard's Quest maze, an open air maze which visitors can tackle at their own pace.
Corris Craft Centre is on the main A487 road between Machynlleth and Dolgellau. The nearest railway station is Machynlleth and the X32 between Aberystwyth, Machynlleth and Dolgellau stops outside the craft centre.

This 800 acre country park at the heart of Llanberis offers a varied selection of attractions in addition to the natural beauty of the surroundings. The park is home to the National Slate Museum, Llanberis Lake Railway, and the Quarry Hospital Museum displaying equipment from the 1800s. There is also a pottery and the opportunity to enjoy water sports or boat trips on the lake.
The park is in Llamberis village, there public car parks in the village and at the country park.
